Young, Joy J

Joy Janette Young, 81, went to be with the Lord on April 7th, 2017 in Kingwood Texas surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 27th , 1935 in Elgin, Oklahoma to Lee and Reba (Benton) Oakley. She was the youngest of the 5 Oakley children. Joy was a Grandma to everyone who knew her and was loved by all. She was a believer and loved Jesus with everything she held dear. Joy is preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers (Darwin and Willis Oakley) and 2 sisters (Geneva and Patricia Darlene) She is survived by her children, Joyce Vines and husband Larry, Lee Young, Joe Young and wife Ana, Sandra Fletcher and husband Robert, Pam Cowart and husband Greg; 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. A Celebration of her life will be held at Darst Funeral Home, 796 Russell Palmer Rd, Kingwood Texas on Saturday April 29th, 2017 from 11:30 – 2:30.
