OBITUARY

Remo “Bo” Boschian was born in West Virginia and was the youngest of three siblings. He was fascinated by planes when he was very young and his interest continued when he grew older.  He was able to fulfill his dream of flying when he joined the Air Force where he served his country for 25 years. During those years he flew to many  places around the world.  He also served in Vietnam.

During the last nine years in his military career, he was stationed at Andrews Air Force Base assigned to Special  Air Missions where he flew congressmen, cabinet members and others. The last 2 years, he was one of the pilots on Air Force One. After he retired from the Air Force he flew in the private sector for 5 more years. When he retired from flying he volunteered at Martha’s Kitchen, a ministry of St. Martha Church in Kingwood. He went nearly every day, Monday to Friday, helping those in need in downtown Houston. He also served as an usher at St. Martha.

He was a fun loving, kind, and generous man. He leaves behind his devoted  wife, Edith of 64 years along with their loving children Linda and Mark.

  2. We love this picture of Bo. It captures his warm and welcoming personality. Having first met Bo as an usher for St. Martha Church he was always so welcoming and happy to see us. He reminds us of the song by Marty Haugen “All Are Welcome” in this place. That is how he made us feel as we came to worship God.
May God comfort you Edith, Linda and Mark and ease the sadness of your hearts ♥️

  3. I can still see his smiling face when we walked into St. Martha’s for mass on Saturday evening.
My prayers are with you, Edith and family, as I know you are going to miss him.
Thank you for sharing the information about his life, which was very interesting. God bless you all.

  4. We treasure the many breakfasts shared with Bo and Edith after masses. We will miss his smile, wit, and great stories. Love and prayers to Edith, Linda, and Mark. Rest in peace, Dear Friend!

  5. I met Mr. Boschian 38 years ago when his daughter and I were in graduate school in Houston. In the years since, I sometimes visited the family. Mr. Boschian and I always went to morning Mass. He and I would go to Denny’s for breakfast. When his dialysis machine arrived, he and I assembled it together. He was one male friend I could always confide in. I always appreciated his humor. Mr. and Mrs. Boschian, Linda and Mark aways treated me like I was one of their own.

  6. Oh how I loved that sweet man. He had such a gentle and kind spirit. He used to let my youngest Caitlyn pass out tickets to the homeless for their meal when she came w me in the summer. She & her family have been praying for him (as we all have) from Australia these last few weeks. And now he will be there to usher us in and I can’t wait to see his sweet face again! Praying for you Edith, Linda and Mark. Anji Ray and family

  7. What a beautiful spirit shown forth for all to see! May God comfort you all & May all the wonderful memories give you peace at a difficult time. What a example of a faith filled life you’ve had together.God Bless. Love to Edith,Linda, & Mark.

  8. My condolences. I remember Mr. and Mrs. Boschian well from our Tuesday Morning Bible Study group many years ago.

  9. I will sorely miss seeing that infamous “cookie duster” helping in church. That smile was for everyone as was his helping hand. Mrs B, Linda and Mark, you are in my prayers.

  10. I served with Bo at Andrews AFB and he was a joy to fly with. A true professional skilled at his job ,his affable personality just added to making him special .
    Rest in peace Bo.

  11. I flew many AF2 trips with “Col Bo”. The infamous trip down under is where he taught me by example what Leadership really means. I always enjoyed flying with him..
Fair Winds and Blue skies Col.

  12. RIP “Bo”…sincerest sympathies to the Boschian family. He is fondly remembered by all the SAM members as a sincere professional and patriot. Always a smile on his face and a kind word for one and all. Vaya Con Dios Bo until we meet again. Enjoy those new Angelic wings…RIP my good friend

  13. A great crew member and a joy to be around. SAM has lost another great pilot.
Remo was always a great guy to talk to with a great attitude and I’ll miss him.
RIP my Brother on your westbound flight

  14. Dear Edith, Linda and Mark …
I was deeply saddened hearing about Remo’s passing. We had many great times together and I treasure all of them. He was a GREAT member of the Sam Fox team and will be missed by all of us.
Unfortunately, our ranks continue to diminish as the years pass by so quickly. My love to you and the family. RIP Bo, my dear old friend.

  15. Remo, you were always a pleasure to know and a true Sam Fox to fly with on our missions around the globe. Rest well now Bo, you earned your crew rest. We’ll fly together again, real soon.

  16. BO was a great addition to the 89th. Although it has been a while since Andrews, I remember him well. May he continue to be an asset on his trip WEST.

  17. Bo and I ushered together for 5 years at Saint Martha’s. I truly enjoyed his company…a nice guy with a tremendous sense of humor with a big heart. He will be sorely missed.

  18. Bo was one in a million. He will be missed by all who knew him. My thoughts and prayers are with Bo, Edith, Linda and Mark. God Bless.

  19. Love, grace, mercy and peace from God our father to Remo’s beautiful family. Remo was in contact with the Tucson High School Class of 1953 by way of email and some phone calls. He also responded to the monthly notices for luncheons and other news events of our classmates. Remo was very kind and generous to our class mates and their activities with cheerful greetings. He will be missed. May he rest in peace.

  20. In the Boschian/Blankenship he was know as Big Remo. He had a nephew that was named after him. He was much loved by his family and we were also proud of what he accomplished!
He was kind and lots of fun.
He was an usher in church and I can easily imagine him welcoming the newly departed to Heaven.

Leave A Condolence
