Wesley Lorne Moot, 71, of Kingwood, TX was born in Newbury, Ontario, Canada on July, 28, 1947 to parents, Ross Moot and Ellen Alderton and passed away on Saturday, August 25, 2018.

Wesley was the fifth of eight children. He proudly served his country in the US Army from July 28, 1965 to March 15, 1974 during the Vietnam War, there he attained the rank of Staff Sergeant and received the VN Cross of Gallantry with Palm, CIB, USM, NDSM, UCM, GCMDL 2 Award, and AFEM medals.

On June 21, 1969 Wesley married Margaret Ann. He was a long-time resident of Liberty Texas. In his spare time, Wesley enjoyed staying active in the VFW as a Post Commander and Chaplain, fishing, and gardening.

Wesley is preceded in death by his parents, Ross Moot and Ellen Alderton; brother, David Moot; and sister, Dorthy Jeffery. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Ann Moot; daughter, Michelle Cantu; son-in-law, James Cantu; grandsons, Wesley Cantu, Logan Cantu, and Aiden Cantu; sisters, Jewel Tuday, Lorna Moot, Joy Scale, and Carol Satchel.
