OBITUARY

On Saturday, February 26th, 2022, Meghan Elena Gilpin, our beautiful and loving daughter, died at the tender age of 19.

Meghan was born on September 22nd, 2002, in Minsk, Belarus.  She became a child of her parents’ heart on February 12, 2004, with the adoption being completed on May 11th, 2004.

James and Monna Gilpin, choose her as their child through adoption after which she traveled home to meet her brother John Andrew (Andrei) Gilpin that same month.   While her initial reactions were somewhat skeptical at this new arrangement, she quickly warmed up to her brother and parents.  She grew to have a passion for photography, art, clothes, music, style, and working to save the planet inspired by the movie Wall-E.

Meghan was preceded in death by her great grandparents, Vic and Ruth Branum, great grandfather, grandfather Dr. Dan E. Miller, and grandmother, Joyce Marie Gilpin, and numerous aunts.  She is survived by her parents, James and Monna Gilpin, brother John Andrew (Andrei) Gilpin, grandmother Eleanor Miller, grandparents Joseph Manly and Kathy Gilpin, and numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and many, many friends.

In memory of Meghan Elena, please consider a small donation to Jeremiahs Hope, an orphanage serving at-risk children and youth in Ukraine and through out the current developments.
