Kief, Jimmie Lynn
Obituary
Jimmie Lynn Kief was welcomed into this world by Bob and Chloe Cox on September 10th, 1951. Jimmie left this world and moved onto her next journey on January 19th, 2022. She was the youngest of five children, with two older brothers Bobby and Larry, and her loving older sisters Evelyn and Wanda.
Jimmie grew up in Houston, Texas and graduated from North Shore High School before proudly attending the University of Houston and graduating with a B.A. In 1976, she married Werner Kief in Houston, Texas before departing on their first of many adventures together and immediately moving to London, England. Jimmie and Werner welcomed two sons into the world while living in England, Philip Gardner and Tyler Griffin, before moving back to Texas to raise their new family. Jimmie was a truly amazing mother, and when they settled back in Kingwood was a pillar in the community and a trusted friend to many. Her friends Dottie Mitchell, Debra McShane, and Lisa Pike all raised their children together and with intense friendship and love.
Jimmie was also a fantastic athlete, an accomplished tennis player, and a fierce competitor. She was also a tremendous homemaker- spending her days taking her boys to all of their sporting and school events, and always being there for them and Werner in whatever way she always seemed to know they needed. And she never stopped jokingly reminding her husband how lucky he was given her claims (still unsubstantiated) that she went on dates with every major sports star that ever graduated from the University of Houston. Werner and Jimmie’s marriage lasted 45 beautiful years, with Werner by her side through it all to the end- a true love story that their friends and family will cherish forever.
Jimmie is survived by Werner her loving husband, her sons Philip and Tyler and their wives Stephanie and Sydney, her grandchildren Harper and Ethan, her brother Larry, her sisters Evelyn and Wanda, and her friends and relatives to great in volume to list but their love for her unwavering.
