OBITUARY

Karen Dydek passed away peacefully on September, 7th 2022. She was born to Joseph and Hattie Dydek on December 18thth 1952 in Hialeah, FL.

Dedicated to learning more, and continuing her education, Karen achieved a Master’s degree in education from Texas Christian University. Karen was a cat lover throughout her life. She enjoyed skiing and needlepoint. She lived for thirty years in Bedford, Texas. When she was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease, she moved to Kingwood, Texas to be near her family. Internment will be at Houston National Cemetery.

Karen is survived by her daughter, Megan Alexandra Dydek; brothers, Fredrick Joseph Dydek, and Dan Bradley Dydek; sister-in-law, Margaret Holmes Dydek; niece, Joanne Dydek Winkler; nephew, Matthew Jedidiah Dydek; great-nephew Zachary Stephan Winkler; and numerous other family and friends who all loved her dearly.

Karen is predeceased by her husband, Alan James Kornsey; and parents Joseph Charles Dydek and Hattie Jenny Metzner.

  1. I am so sorry for your lost. I remember Karen from high school. I thought she was such a very nice person. I tried very hard to find her for our 50th Reunion but was unsuccessful. She was missed then and is missed now. I pray that your memories will confort you. This is the link to WHHS Gone But Not Forgotten. Karen’s classmates are leaving their condolences there.
