Jason Alan Park
Obituary
Jason Alan Park, 47, was born on March 16, 1976 in Houston, Texas to John Park, Sr. and Sharon Dicus. He was the second-born of four children. He went to be with his Lord and Savior on March 30, 2023. He grew up in Humble, Texas and later moved to Galena Park where he graduated from Galena Park High School in 1994.
For the last 18 years he has lived in Kingwood, Texas, where he has been a vital part of the community through coaching sports and leading community athletic organizations. He loved this part of his life not only because his own children were involved but because he had a genuine love for investing in the lives of young people and their families. In addition to his many hours volunteering, he had an accomplished career with the FAA as an air traffic controller. Of his 22 year career, he has spent the last 18 years working at the Houston Center and was a beloved co-worker and employee.
He had a God-given gift for teaching and coaching, which first began when he was a young man active in the ministry at his church. Jason loved his savior Jesus very much and he carried a deep understanding that He loved him back.
Since 1994 Nicole has been the love of Jason’s life and they faced every hurdle in life together. They have three beautiful children, Hayden, Lauren, and Owen.
One of Jason’s rarest qualities was how deeply he loved people and the loyalty he carried towards his friends and family. Jason had many close friends throughout his life, but he loved none more than his brother John, who was his best friend.
Jason walked with Jesus through the many difficulties of his life. In the end, his spirit overcame though his body did not. He was preceded in death by his grandmother Dora Gray, his grandfather Lewis Bonham, his uncles Glenwood Dicus and Tommy Park, his aunt Glenda Dicus, and his father-in-law Martin Postel. He is survived by his devoted wife, Nicole Park, his sons Hayden and Owen Park, his daughter Lauren Park, his mother Sharon Dicus, his father and wife John and Lynn Park, Sr, his mother-in-law Judy Postel, his brother and sister-in-law John and Tambra Park, his sister and brother-in-law Jodie and Cedric Cooks, his sister and brother-in-law Stacey and Jason Hoveln, his sister-in-law April Postel, his brother and sister-in-law Gabe and Anna Alvarez, his brother-in-law Martin Postel, his sister-in-law Yeda Ramirez, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

So sorry for your loss and our loss here at Houston Center. Zippy was a great friend and coworker and I loved getting to work with him in TMU for 2 years. He had the unique ability to make me laugh AND do a fantastic job, all at the same time! I grieve with you but, praise the Lord, it is grief with hope! We will get to see him again! Blessings to you and yours during this time. 2 Peter 1:2-3
