Celebrating the life of Jacob “Jake” Albert Hegmann
He was born on July 28, 1952 in Houston, TX and went home to be with the Lord on April 26, 2022 at Kingwood Hospital.
He is preceded in death by his parents Lillian May Kent and Albert William Hegmann;
siblings Mary Hegmann-Troy and Gladys Hegmann-Hughes. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and uncle.
Jacob is survived by his wife Georgia Ann Hegmann. Daughters Shannon Lynn Pickens, Sarah Marie Hegmann and stepdaughter Stephanie Ann Gomez.
Stepson James Alfred Divins JR. Twelve Grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was the youngest of three children. He attended Ross Sterling High School. He then joined the Merchant Marines. Later he attended Houston Community College where he earned several certifications. He began his career as a sheetrock finisher and retired approximately eight years ago.
He enjoyed fishing with his family and spending time with his grandchildren which he loved dearly. He enjoyed attending Potter’s Grace and Day Spring church.
His favorite scripture was II Chronicles 7:14 “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”
A family gathering will be held from 6-8PM, Friday, May 6, 2022 in the garden at Darst Funeral Home, 796 Russell Palmer Road, Kingwood, Texas 77339
Graveside services will be held at Rosewood Cemetery.
