Obituary
Born Alvin “Joel” French in Beaumont, Texas, on December 31, 1935; called home to be with his Lord and Savior on December 23, 2016.
Joel accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age. Throughout his life, he believed God, and loved God, with all of his heart, and all of his mind and all of his strength.
Joel was a graduate of Beaumont High School and graduated from Texas A&M with a degree in engineering in 1962. Along the way, he also earned a Masters Degree in Education and a Masters Degree in Literature from the University of Houston.
At various times in his life, Joel was a NASA engineer, a preacher, an evangelist, an associate pastor, a commercial real estate broker, a published author of Christian books, a high-school teacher, a college professor, and a stock trader.
Joel had a boundless curiosity and was constantly on the computer researching health, economic, political and other issues.
Joel was a man of incredible faith. He walked by faith and not by sight and he refused to believe any negative report concerning his health or any other issue. He considered negative reports temporary circumstances and inconveniences, but not truth.
Joel prayed, believed and confessed, “I am healthy and whole. Every organ, tissue and cell in my body from the top of my head to the soles of my feet are in perfect health and are performing in the perfection to which God created them to function.” He refused to believe anything else!
God is true and His Word is Truth and on Resurrection Morning, Joel’s prayer will be fully and finally answered and his faith will be greatly rewarded.
Joel, your family and friends miss you and look forward to seeing you again with great anticipation!
