OBITUARY

Doris Jeanne (Allen) Maryman

Funeral services and burial for Jeanne will be held at 10 AM, May 14, 2022 at Walnut Hill Cemetery, near Bradley, AR, under the direction of Darst Funeral Home..

Jeanne was born May 14, 1930 in Fox, OK and died May 7, 2022 in Kingwood, TX after a prolonged illness. Her family moved to Bradley, AR about 1940. She was a 1948 graduate of Bradley High School, where she played Varsity basketball and was her class Valedictorian.

In early 1950, in the early years of commercial aviation, she flew to Honolulu, Hawaii to marry John and start a family. Later, Jeanne and her family would call Hutchinson, KS, San Diego, CA, Shreveport/Stonewall, LA and New Caney, TX their home.

In addition to providing life-long care for her daughter, she was successful with Sarah Coventry Jewelry sales, raising show quality poodles, Tupperware sales, residential real estate sales and wood crafts – she was a talented artist. Above all else, though, was her love and devotion to her family. She was a loving and caring wife and a wonderful mother.

Jeanne was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 59 years, John Gordon Maryman, Jr.

She is survived by her children Lois Suzanne Maryman, Gordon Scott Maryman and wife Virginia, grandchildren Gordon Bradley Maryman and wife Kristin, CDR Kimberly Layne Littel, MSC, USN and husband CDR Corey John Littel, MSC, USN, and great grandchildren Riley Elizabeth Maryman, Lauren Reegan Maryman and Adelynn Grace Littel.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Walnut Hill Cemetery or to the charity of your choosing.

The family would also like to thank the staffs of the following for their support and compassionate care: Unlimited Care Cottages (Kingwood) and Devotion Hospice.
