Obituary
Brian Gregory Padgett, 46, of Humble, Texas passed away February 22, 2023, surrounded by his family after a long, courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Portsmouth, Virginia, to Ronald Joseph Padgett and Kathleen Ann (Mehle) Long on September 11, 1976. He grew up in Harvey, Louisiana with his older brother, Tommy, and attended John Ehret High School (class of 1995), where he developed several lifelong friendships and was a member of the ROTC.
Brian loved working outdoors, especially in his garden where he enjoyed sharing with everyone the vegetables he grew. He also loved to cook, particularly Cajun food, and hosted yearly crawfish boils. Brian was a true animal lover and cared for his pets and always had his dog, Baby Dog, by his side. He had a big heart, infectious smile and laugh which will live on forever.
Anyone who knew Brian also knew that he was a loving husband and father. He is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth (Langler); and his children, Grace Shelton (Jake), Madison Padgett, Alexander Dimaala, Aria Dimaala, and Aiden Padgett. Forever cherished and remembered by his parents, Ronald Padgett and Kathleen Long; his grandmother, Edith Padgett; his two grandchildren, Kallen and Eleanor Shelton; his brother, Thomas Padgett (Brenda); and numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Frederick and Undine Mehle, and his paternal grandfather, Joseph Padgett.
