OBITUARY

Celebrating the Life of Bradley Kuykendall
September 24, 1940 – April 23, 2023

Bradley was born to Edward and Treva Kuykendall on September 24, 1940 in Ada, Oklahoma. He had 2 brothers, Eddie and Steve, and a sister, Erma who have all preceded him in death.

After graduating high school, Bradley joined the U.S. Army where he was stationed in Germany driving tanks. After his time in the Army he began working as an engineer building America’s highways across the Northeast. He married Carolyn Berexa on October 4, 1969 in Indiana, Pennsylvania. He traveled the world for his many career opportunities, and lived in many different states throughout his life.

Bradley’s favorite hobbies were camping and fishing on the lakes of Texas and Oklahoma, golfing, cooking, telling stories, and reading. His favorite author was Louis L’amour. He also enjoyed cheering for the Houston Astros and the Texans. But, his first true love was working on cars. Bradley was a skilled mechanic and could fix and rebuild almost anything. He really enjoyed working on classic muscle cars from the 50’s, ‘60’s and ‘70’s.

He is survived by his wife of 53 yeatrs, and 3 children and their spouses: Tracy Cowherd (daughter) and husband Steve Cowherd of Oklahoma City, OK, Michelle Kuykendall Cradic (daughter) and husband John Cradic of Jonesborough, TN, and Brad Kuykendall (son) and Roberta Scabora of Spring,TX. Bradley has six grandchildren: Chloe, Eva, Matthew, Blake, Nicolas, and Maximus. He also leaves behind many other family members and friends to celebrate his life, and cherish his memory.

Family and friends will be received on Saturday Apr 29, 2023 from
10:00a – 12:00p in the outdoor Garden of Darst Funeral Home at 796 Russell Palmer Rd, Kingwood, TX 77339.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Kingwood Methodist Church community outreach program: The Society of St. Stephen, 2307 Crystal Springs, Kingwood, TX 77339.
