OBITUARY

Audrey I. Toker passed away on Sunday, April 30, 2023. She was born in Youngstown, Ohio, an only child of Irene M. and Marshall A. Bullock. She graduated from Poland Seminary High School and The Ohio State University College of Nursing. Audrey earned a certification in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing and practiced in that field for many years in Ohio and Texas. She was a volunteer RN with the Boardman, Ohio schools and The American Red Cross and Suicide helplines. Audrey was an active member of St. Martha’s Roman Catholic Parish in Porter, Texas.

Audrey is preceded in death by her parents, her long time husband, Robert M. Toker and her cousin, Jon Boyes.

Audrey is survived by her two daughters, Diane and husband Jim Steiner, Karen and husband Todd Pickard; five Grandchildren, Sarah Steiner and fiancé Adam Watkins, Eric Steiner, and Marshall, Jackson and Karson Pickard; cousin, Gay and her family of Columbus, Ohio and many members of the Toker and Boyes family, along with numerous other family and friends.

On Monday May 15th, 2023 a visitation and funeral Mass will be held in the Holy Family Chapel of St. Martha Catholic Church at 4301 Woodridge Parkway, Porter, TX 77365. Visitation at 10:30am, followed by a funeral Mass at 11:00am. Interment will be held at the Houston National Cemetery located at 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038 at 2:00pm on May 15th 2023.

  3. I met Audrey at her first breakfast at Watercrest and we became friends, sharing bingo, scrabble and other activities. She was the sweetest gal who loved to have a good laugh. She loved our group of friends and we shall all miss her dearly.

  4. I met Audrey at WaterCrest where we comiserated over both of us being RN’s from Ohio, and Buckeyes! She was patient and understanding and Loyal to OSU!
