April lived a simple life of service, patience, and kindness to everyone she met. She worked in waitressing, then assembly work, and at Walmart in various positions over the years. She was always willing to give of herself to anyone, whether they deserved it or not and give anyone the benefit of the doubt. She was the family historian and ensured all knew she cared and loved them, with frequent communication. She always loved and cared for her 5 grandchildren with all her heart. She had a never ending patience for others even to her own detriment. April allowed many people to live in her home over her lifetime, to help them get back on their feet, for as long as they needed it. She was the best friend to many short term and life-long friends, who loved her to death. She was also a second/adopted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother to her step-children and close family friends.

I love April and her boys w/all my heart. We met in 1985’ish and became fast friends (family). She would always be there when needed, even if she really couldn’t… Those that know her know what I am saying. Spread your wings dear friend! We know God welcomes you w/open arms!
