With our deepest sympathy and condolences to Rick’s Family.God Blessed.
Rick touched many folks throughout his life. He was always had a smile and was one of the most optimistic people I ever met. He was a hard worker and he sure loved airplanes, both flying and working on them. God must of needed an Angel. Now he’ll be working and flying on a different set of wings. Farwell Rick, you’ll be missed RIP
Rick was one of the warmest, most helpful guys I have ever known. His wealth of knowledge is irreplaceable. I will never forget him nor will others who he touched. I hope his family feels surrounded by much love and fond memories of Rick in this time of grieving.
Sending prayers for peace & healing at this very difficult time, love you Rick and will remember you always

It took a big man to carry such a big heart. He always gave a warm and often funny greeting. I’ve had the pleasure of working with Spencer, he carried the same great attitude as his Dad. May the Lord comfort you all in this time of sorrow.
Rick is remembered with a smile, as he always gave when meeting. Many blessings come into a persons life, and Rick was one of those blessings. Our thoughts and prayers to family and all close to Rick.
I am saddened by the news of Rick’s passing. Rick was a great person and a pleasure to work with. He treated every aircraft problem with tenacity and never backed off until the issue was resolved. He leaves behind a lot of memories by a lot of people and will always be a legend in Maintenance Control and Technical Support. I wish the best for his family and friends.
Rick was a great guy that I spent many nights working alongside. His smile and laugh were great. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family. RIP my friend.
I remember the day I met Rick and will never forget it. It was around Valentines Day back in 2010 when Spencer took me out to George Bush Houston Intercontinental Airport to get a tour of a Boeing 777. Rick gave us the VIP experience and taught us all about the plane! Rick helped motivate me and inspire me to pursue aviation as a profession and earned my Private Pilots License in 2011. I will be forever grateful for Rick’s generosity and kindness towards me as a future woman in aviation. To the Searway family- I am so blessed to have met such an incredible man and am fortunate to have a piece of him in my heart forever.
Rick Searway has blessed our lives with his abiding love. Since 2004, he has been a welcome member of our family. He was Santa at Christmas, an amazing mechanic, and a dear friend. We treasure every minute we spent with him because he inspired and encouraged us. We look forward to spending more time with him in Heaven.
RIP my friend. Thank You for your leadership, professionalism, attitude, knowledge, respect, passion (and the list goes on and on), and most important for making a difference in this world. You will be greatly missed. My deepest condolences go out to the Searway Family. Our prayers and thoughts are with you.
Rick cared about people like he cared about fixing airplanes. He always had a positive attitude and great sense of humor. Spencer picked up his fathers work ethics and humor. Sending my prayers to the family and may they find peace. RIP
Rick was so great to work with. I’ll never forget the Hangar G days. If we had a real stubborn aircraft problem, Rick, along with Jeff or Dennis would come and help us out Tremendously. All 3 were a pleasure to work with. You left us way too soon. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. RIP my friend.
I only knew him for a short time at Alaska Airlines, but he was the kindest person here. He always made sure to say hello in the mornings and saved you a seat in meetings. His positive attitude was beautiful. God bless him.
