Obituary

Celebrating the Life of John Joachim Kenty

John was born in Neisse, Germany on March 19 1930. He immigrated in the United States in 1952. He served in the army for two years, from 1952 to 1955. John married his life partner, Carol Hickey, in 1956 and they were blessed with three daughters.

He worked for KLM Airlines in the cities of NY, Chicago and finally in Houston TX where he retired after 35 years of service. He loved the game of golf, so after he retired he enjoyed marshaling at several golf courses in Kingwood, TX.

He is known to his nieces and nephews as ” The Senator”. They gave him that name because of his congenial personality, he was always greeting people with his contagious smile and firm handshake.

John is survived by his wife, Carol Louise Kenty; his daughters, Christine Kenty Stokes, Barbara Kenty Litza (Curtis), and Elizabeth Kenty; his grandsons, John Richard Stokes, Matthew Curtis Litza, and Logan Scott Kenty; and his sister Elke Kenty, along with many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Willy Kenty, his mother, Elisabeth Kenty, and his brothers, Dieter Kenty (Resi), Karl Heinz Kenty (Anastasia).

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association.
