Gary Lloyd Helmer, 63, passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2021 in Humble, Texas. He was born in Houston, Texas on December 29, 1957 to Fred and Mary Helmer. He loved to fix things and tinker with things. Gary was electrician and he loved to work on his truck, he loved fishing and he was very meticulous. He was preceded in death by his father, Fred Alford Helmer; brother, Roy Donald Helmer; aunts, Betty Goyn, Velma Williams, Jessie Cooper; uncle, J.W. Williams; cousin, Mary Jean Burroughs. Gary is survived by his mother, Mary Helmer; brothers, Jerry Helmer and wife Sherrie, Derrick Helmer and wife Heather; sister, Diana Stone and husband Daniel; sister-in-law, Lindy Helmer; nieces and nephews, Cory Helmer, Allie Stone, Kyle Stone, Colin Helmer, Lauren Helmer; uncles, Al Russom and wife Brenda, Charlie Russom and wife Shirley.
A celebration of life service will be held for Gary at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 30, 2021 at Darst Funeral Home Garden with Pastor Tommy C. Lowe officiating. For those unable to attend the service will be live streamed.
