Martin, Ronald W.
Obituary
On Sunday, January 17, 2021, Ronald Wayne Martin, loving husband and father of five, entered into eternal life at the age of 75.
Ron was born on May 22, 1945, in Port Arthur, Texas, to Kerney and Lucille Martin. Raised in Houston, he graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School in 1963 and settled in Kingwood, Texas, in 1984. Known for his boundless intelligence and wit, matched only by the depth and breadth of his kindness and compassion, Ron led a joyous life focused on family, friends and service to his church and community. An active member of Kingwood United Methodist Church, he loved his church family and participated in the Walk to Emmaus #87, which further deepened his faith. He had a passion for prison ministry and volunteered with Kairos Prison Ministry and The Oaks of Righteousness.
Ron is survived by Karen Martin, his wife of 21 years; son Bryan Pawlik and wife Tina; daughters Lisa Walsh and husband David, Tracy Waterfallen and husband Kevin, Amy Martin, and Jamie Pawlik and wife Amanda; grandchildren Kelby and Kyla Waterfallen, Erykah and Ashlynn Pawlik, and Veronica Walsh; sister Janice Bland; nephew and niece Larry Bland and Sherrie Galaway; grandnieces Sarah Galaway and Tyler Bland; and Karen’s sister/cousin Martha McAllister.
