Shawn C. Holstein was born on December 29, 1971 in Houston, Texas to Monetta Chapa and Tal Holstein. He grew up in Kingwood, Texas and attended Blinn College. After College he started working at Walmart and stayed a loyal employee for 27 years. Shawn lived in various cities in Texas including Tomball and Brenham. He spent many years married to Jennifer Mann and was a member of St. Martha’s Catholic Church in Kingwood and Humble, Texas. Shawn was a unique man with a passion for music, movies, and the New Orleans Saints. He enjoyed writing poetry, as well as learning the history of the writers and performers.
Shawn will be remembered by family and loved ones as honest, kind, funny and dedicated. He is preceded in death by his mother; Monetta Chapa, father; Tal Holstein, grandmother; Marie Baker, grandfather; Max Baker, grandmother; Irene Holstein, grandfather Eugene Holstein, as well as various aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is survived by brothers Joe and Mario Chapa, former wife; Jennifer Mann, many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held for Shawn at Darst Funeral Home in Kingwood, Texas, on Saturday, November 28, 2020, in the garden, at 1:00pm.
