OBITUARY

Gregory P. Campbell, 58, of Atascocita, TX, passed away at home on Thursday, September 24, 2020 surrounded by his family following an unrelenting 14-month battle with pancreatic cancer. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Darst Funeral Home.

Born in Boston and raised in Sharon, MA, Greg was a loving husband, father, son, brother and friend.  He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Judith (Miller); his son Alexander and his wife Audrey (Blinkinsop); and his daughter Jessica.  Devoted in their formative years to his role as Mr. Mom, his children were, without a doubt, his pride and joy.  Our dogs Diesel and Gracie, who brought him so much comfort and joy, miss him already and we know his beloved Buster was waiting for him.

Preceded in death by his father, Richard, Greg is survived by his mother, Joan (Gaudreau) as well as 7 siblings, Paula, Roberta (Peter), Richard (Diana), Brian (Tina), Michael (Terry), John, and Timothy (Cathy); his in-laws Nancy (Dan), David (Rosemary), and Kathryn (Rick) as well as 20 nieces and nephews, Kenneth, Joseph, Kristin, Jennifer, Kelly, Molly, Christopher, Stephanie, Marissa, Sean, Dennis, Kevin, Angeliza, Katie, Brian, Steve, David, Emily, Kathleen, and Maddie; his aunts Margaret (Jack), Jeanette, and Donna; numerous cousins; and his best friend, Deering Roberts.

We are so grateful to the wonderful doctors and nurses who treated and cared for Greg, but especially his surgeon, Dr. Subramanyam Ayyar, his oncologist, Dr. Samir Mazharuddin, his pain management doctor, Dr. Todd Majeski, their teams, his chemo nurses at Memorial Hermann Northeast Cancer Center as well as the nurses and staff from St. Joseph Hospice.

Due to COVID and Greg’s desire for everyone to be safe during the pandemic, a celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
