OBITUARY

On Sunday, January 26, 2020 we received the call that Dylan Shay Gunnels passed away. He was only 22 years old and had battled Type 1 Diabetes since he was 11. Although we have known that this is a battle he has been fighting, we never expected it to take his life.

Dylan leaves behind his 3 year old son Kaesyn Shay Gunnels as well as his sons mother Kaitlyn Emanus. He is also survived by his grandparents Dawn & Gary Kingcaid, Rodger and Janice Gunnels; his mother Rachel Johnson and step dad Joe Butler; his father Daniel Gunnels and step mother Rose Gunnels; his siblings Ravin Johnson, Waycee Bassett and Laynee Bassett as well as many more aunts, uncles, Cousins and many many friends. He is preceded in death by his PaPaw Doyle Johnson.

Dylans loved to ”piddle” he was a jack of all trades. He loved mechanics and rebuilding things. He also enjoyed audio sound systems in vehicles, carpentry work, making wood furniture for his baby boy, LOVED eating! He was always busy and lived to be outdoors. Dylan was for sure one of kind and will be deeply missed
