OBITUARY

Jimmy William Truesdale
Jim, Jim-Dad, Jim-bo, Jim Billy, or Billy Bob. He answered to each one with a smile. He loved golf, fishing, and corn-hole (a recent champion of the game). He enjoyed spending time grilling, playing the guitar, and listening to the good classics like Jimmy Buffet and the Eagles. Most of all he loved his family, his friends, and his wife of nearly 30 years.
He was born on October 23, 1960, in Lawton, Oklahoma and was raised by his parents JC and Billie Cotner, along with his sister Ronna. He met his wife Laurie (Hill) Truesdale and they were married in Bay City, Michigan, on July 21, 1990. Together they lovingly raised three children Brandi (Justin) Boyle, Amber Hilliker, and Christopher Truesdale. “Billy Bob” is also blessed with six grandchildren Gage, Ashtin, Brody, Carson, Mason, and Blake.
He passed away on June 2, 2019, surrounded by family.  A Celebration of Life will be held at the Darst Funeral Home located at 796 Russell Palmer Rd. Kingwood, TX, 77339 from 4-6 p.m. Dinner will be provided.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: The 100 Club or Shriners Hospital.

Service Information

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at 4 p.m. at Darst Funeral Home Gardens with a reception immediately following.   2. We love you so much Uncle Jim. & I know that you’re teeing off with grandpa up there. Aunt Laurie & AmBobbi, Bran & Critter we all love you so much & you are in our prayers. Stay strong & have faith in knowing God has wrapped him in wings of love & peace & comfort. RIP Uncle. You will be missed & I will treasure the memories for a lifetime. Thank you for the wonderful memory & long talks of the last visit we saw each other. That changed my life & will forever be in my heart.

We all had a good time! We will cherish those memories as we all know, “Only the good die young!” Heartfelt sympathy to the family.

  10. I met Jim twice and he was a great guy – from his Cowboy Hat to singing Country Songs at the Christmas Party, he was a joy to be around. He will be missed.
