John Fleming Conerly August 10, 1948 to February 6, 2018
John Fleming Conerly passed away unexpectedly on the 6th of February, 2018, at the age of 69 in Porter, TX. John was born in Port Arthur, TX on the 10th of August, 1948. The eldest son of Maurice and Ima Jean Conerly, he graduated in 1966 from Port Neches-Groves High School where he also became an Eagle Scout. He graduated from Lamar University, majoring in accounting in 1970.
Following college, he served in the Air National Guard and married Anita Murphy. They moved to Houston, TX to raise a family where he pursued his professional career. John spent 38 years working in the oil & gas industry.
After his retirement, he married Patricia Blunt. They enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends. John kept in close touch with his three brothers and many friends, particularly if it involved hunting, fishing, traveling, good food and wine. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, love of life and dedication and loyalty to family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Conerly; his children, Shawn and wife Heather, Malissia de Leon and husband Stevan; his grandchildren, Parker and Paige de Leon, Charley and Campbell Conerly; his brothers, Kenneth, Michael and wife Sharon, Jay and wife Susie; his Blunt family, Ian and wife Jackie, Andrew and wife Erin with their children Emalyn and Avrie.
